And the Daddy Tomato Said, "Ketchup!"
november 4: austin finneys birthday
november 5: mercers birthday
that is a lot. happy birthday to all of you.
so, since i last blogged, in no particular order:
i was late to novus because i went to four music stores (cats, pop tunes, spin street, tower) to get the RENT movie soundtrack, and i cant even listen to the second disc because i made a pact with myself to wait till i saw the movie. but they put la vie boheme on disc 2! the week of death ended monday morning. sweet. except now we have the veryvery intimidating
JULIUS CAESAR PROJECT
which, i have no doubt, will eat me. plus i have to read it. blast. i do, however, get to be brutus to justins caesar in act three. o, how ive dreamed of the day.
i didnt really say anything about writers retreat before. it was AMAZING. o, it has been too long.
yesterday morgan came home with me for a while, i went to see broadminded mental brains again, mercer, em, lilla, and k.ho showed, and afterwards eileen, morgan, lilla, mercer, andy harper and i walked to tcby, then eileen and i went to morgans and watched something about the cosby show, and morgan made o god pie. we ate it for breakfast, and it does live up to its name, especially with chocolate sauce. O GOD PIE. you dont even know.
today we watched the bbc narnia and i came home and had an english muffin plus spaghettti sauce for lunch, tonight at six i go to work, at nine i get off, and at 945 i hope i hope i hope someone will go see shopgirl with me at studio. hope hope hope. i love claire danes.
wednesday i go back to the dermatologist, thank god, and i can get some more of that stuff because my knees are driving me crazy itchy for real. im finna tear em up.
what else? i always forget to go to the bank and end up not cashing my check for like a week. speaking of money, if you were going to buy an ipod, would you get All You Need Is Love engraved on it or No Day But Today? because i am torn.
i need to go read julius caesar and take a shower. this paragraph only exists because i havent used red yet.
25 October 2005
This weekend I was productive for the first time in about two years.
Driving to North Dakota is like lighting your
Arm on fire: at first it looks kind of cool,
But you just end up screaming in agony.
Lighting your arm on fire is not an experiment
I suggest, but since you must, make the most
Of it. Driving to North Dakota, I hid behind
The melting wheel, slouched, blasting that one band
With the windows up so the one car I passed
Between Missouri and Nebraska could only
Hear the bass line, a soft testimony to my
Presence, chair back as far as it goes, bobbing
My head invisible to the climax chord of that
One song. Arriving in North Dakota is like
Lighting a long candle and standing, silent,
Waiting for the wax to burn you. Arriving in
North Dakota I found I could lean forward,
Sit up, roll down the window and breathe
Trees, tilting my grip forward on the wheel so
The wax pooled harmlessly on the speedometer.
Staying in North Dakota is much like coming
Home to a lit fire and a rousing game of
"What's your inner Southern accent?" Staying in
North Dakota I slept miles above the floor, and
The house smelled like cumin and cinnamon,
Just crazy enough to work, to put me to
Sleep under too many feathers. Perfect
Timing for another nap after lunch. (Staying
In North Dakota is like finally striking a match
In the Yukon and making it without stranding
Your dog.) Three coats and a nightcap later, I
Was back on the floor, feet bare, curling my
Toes around the edge of a step, curling my
Fingers into my back. I felt smoke as
The match singed me briefly before going
Out. Leaving North Dakota is like driving into
A forest fire, collarbones aching to turn back
And feeling the first unwelcome heat. Leaving
North Dakota I broke the sound barrier in a
Midsize '98 something-or-other, taking
On the end full throttle with nothing to lose
But too many feathers. The one car I passed
Between Nebraska and Missouri saw me,
Chair forward as far as it goes, flying from
Three coats and a nightcap, sure to get as
Far and as fast as I could from North
Dakota before I changed my mind, sure
To go back to short sleeves immediately,
Sure to keep driving until the burning forest
Was gone.

WHATCHU LOOKIN' AT?!
next weekend im going to camp really nice bathrooms. (thats lakeshore.) im very excited. with me, eileen, ruby, beaver, and dunkan, we will defeat the sarah cobb girls. and plus theres no sarah cobb. just some people like her. and troy, allison, maybe josh brown *crosses fingers*? okay, this doesnt matter so you if youre not beaver or eileen. the point is its gonna be awesome but i wish austin finneys birthday party was another weekend. because I WAS INVITED TO IT. HOW AWESOME IS THAT JUNT. HE STRAIGHTENS HIS HAIR.
so yesterday i was at school until five because mercer was coming home with me and she had rehearsal. dunkan snuck out of rehearsal so she could co home with me. ha! well we had fun, played in ms kitts's room and outside. plus the most amazing event occurred...
me, dunkan, mercer: *stand outside*
*school bus drives by*
people on bus: *SHOUT things that arent quite words at us*
us: *look*
them: WHATCHU LOOKIN AT?! YEAH WE BLACK!
so, yeah. amazing.
the acoustic why georgia is quite good. i like the alabaster and wine mix. speaking of that kinda, lenas and my friendship is like, not even. we dont even talk. when was the last time i did something with her? i dont even know. crazy.

no wait, that was thursday night. LORD.
i went kite-flying today with lilla. wtf?
01 October 2005
The rain in Memphis stays mainly in the EVERYWHERE.
so next saturday i dont have novus. and unless freak engine was last night, its next friday night. basically what im saying is this: lets go.
i saw secondhand lions today, and it was good enough to watch. mom came home with it at 330 and was all LETS WATCH A MOVIE. so we and dad watched it. there was popcorn and ovaltine and overall a good almost two hours spent. but then i had to superhurry and shower and be at work at 6. i was here at 607, but guess what: it doesnt matter cause i dont do anything till seven. i also watched the food network and part of gladiator. as you can tell, this moring after getting up and going to novus and coming back, ive done nothing productive at all. tomorrow, though, i need to do some serious algdeux project-ing because its due thursday and lord knows i dont have any spare time during the week.
so mom drove me to work and its a good thing too, because its raining like the dickens. however, i didnt find that out until it was too late to change out of my fakenstocks, so i had to carry them snugly under moms giant umbrella up the way from the gate to the door. they survived fairly well, id say. i forgot my nametag but seriously, no one cares THAT much.
(note: i know all of you know this, im just writing it down for the record)
so there are like 19 fights a day at white station. i really dont get how people can get that mad at each other that often. we're never ever gonna get to wear jeans. ever. i really dont understand how dr winette could have let 2272 people into a school built to be comfy at 1500 and packed at 1900.
well. its about time to go get ready for the fun and excitement of calling out a gabuncha numbers a gabuncha times (we're talking bingo here, people), so im off to go do that. now where did i put my shoes? i dont even know.
21 September 2005
Uncle! Uncle!
first, id like to make the distinction that i fully intended to blog on, what was it?, monday, but the power went out. while i was in the shower. as fun as that was, it left me doing homework in the dark and unable to blog. when it came back on eileen came over because she forgot her history book and we dictated the section out loud. unfortunately, it was the wrong section. fortunately, we didnt have a quiz. eileens class did, though. poor eileen.
now we'll back up. here comes an overview of everything i did since my last post, probably not in order. but first some excuses. yeah, okay, its been a while, but by now you all should know that whenever something very important happens that i want to make sure everyone i know has a chance to read, naturally im going to leave the post about it up for a while, about two weeks. and you may be saying, "but sara, its been three!" yes, well, i got busy. last week was full and therefore get over it. okay, carrying on. heres what i remember of the past few weeks.
30 August 2005
Probably Like the Best 24-Hour Period Ever
[music: hold me, bat boy]
so, lets start exactly 24 hours ago. i had gone to work a little early, so i got out at 6:49. this was planned. i fully intended to have some extra time between getting off and 7 to get to the ossies. that would be the ostranders, or memphis theatre awards, and from that you should see where this is going. and so i changed my shoes in the car and we (my mother and i) got there wet but on time. i saw two lovely seats near the front in the middle. however, my mother suggested that we sit off to the right a bit because thats where the actors usually sit. so we did. to the right, second row. mother went to get a drink. i sat. and waited. and lo and behold! my mothers judgment OWNS. who should sit right in front of us, but andrew weir, paul seiz, angela groeschen, and--you guessed it--michael ingersoll. YES. SIR. now, let me refresh your memory.
headshot.
from floyd collins. (WHY did i not see this? WHY?)
from of mice and men (with george dudley, who won the ossie for best lead male instead of him.)
thank you, google image search. thank you, PotS. so angela won two ossies, andrew weir won two (one of them was the super impressive rising star award thing), and paul seiz won one (but he was nominated against himself five times. in the same category). and michael sang something gorgeous from floyd collins, but he didnt win any, and it was just about the saddest thing ever. but not really, cause of mice and men was sadder. which is why he should have won. HOW can you not give an ostrander to the man whose character had to kill his best friend? it was so sad to look and see ossies under the chairs of everyone on his row. i was highly distraught. but he took it like a man. yes sir.
so when andrew weir won that thing everyone stood up and FINALLY he turned around. and he waved. and WINKED. and he smiled and said, "hey, its you! i was like, who the hell is behind me?" cause i was naturally very enthused in my applause and whatnot for various awards (of mice and men won best drama), and he said it sweetly. so everyone sat down and they gave out the last award(s?) and then mom was like, "we need to go." so we started wandering out (slowly because i was stalling) and i said, "mom! dont you need to go to the bathroom?" and so she did. yes. stallstall, and out he comes in this yellow jacket. o MAN.
so we spoke very briefly and then andrew weir (or is it wier? i think its weir) came and talked to him for a minute, during which time he held my shoulder. (the right shoulder. now my favored shoulder.) so andrew weir left and we spoke further. discussed things: he married angela the first day of school, i love him, theyre going to chicago tomorrow, they plan to visit once a month. so mom got out of the bathroom and started out, so, naturally, a hug was to ensue. and it did, and it was prolonged. and then he kissed my left cheek this time (both previous times it had been the right). and THEN,
he said:
"you want one on the lips before you go?"
and i did.
and the rest is history.
(im walkin on sunshine, whoa-oh!
im walkin on sunshine, whoa-oh!
im walkin on sunshine, whoa-oh!
and dont it feel good?)

What I Did at Work
in the clean version of Ride Wit Me (nelly), when they scramble what mofo is short for, it sounds like "muthfagummh" and its funny. morgan made moon pies. thay are a gift from god. alannas finna go to college. itll be weird to never see any of them. the weekend was enjoyable, but not particularly intriguing.
stayed home friday. saturday went to trezevant then saw you and me and everyone we know at highland with morgan, alanna, eileen, johntom, morgan fox, and so forth. it was good i thought. then went home with morgan. today made pancakes with morgan, eileen left, read a tiny bit of OaFK, helped morgan make moonpies, came home, did contemporary issues homework, had dinner, got online. i need to think of a shorter term for contemporary issues. something like, CONTISSUES. i like it.
17 August 2005
ObligaLATE Start of School Post
2nd: Pre-AP English, Ms. Douglas, Rm 034. this class will be so hard. what a horrible woman. its not that, i mean, she doesnt seem mean until she takes off for putting your page numbers at the bottom instead of the top. and by takes off, i dont mean two points, or five. i mean ten. TEN. TEN POINTS. OFF A FIFTY ONE PAGE PAPER OVER WHICH I SPENT HALF MY SUMMER SLAVING. I AM PISSED, AND I DONT EVEN SAY PISSED. in the words of newman: "sometimes you want to kill yourself in her class... just to show her whos boss."
people in this class (PitC): lane and annebel (at my table), rachel schou, andrew lu, lilla, coretta, hannah schafer (sp?), alex bransford, mariana, david nikaido (my favorite asain! he dyed his hair blond! wtf!) UPDATE: justin. GAWD.
3rd: Honors Latin II, Ms. Haughton, Rm 10. not too bad, not too bad. it seems easy-ish so far. the sentences in the work today were like, pater est lucius, and stuff. but maybe thats cause its the begining of school. lane hates latin so much its hilarious.
PitC: lane, annebel, lauren nelson, four michaels (including biscoe!), a buncha people from latin i.
4th: Honors Contemporary Issues, Ms. Matson, Rm 237. this class will be easy im pretty sure. very little homework, very few projects, and its high time i learn whats going on in the world, cause i have no idea. i didnt know who tony blair was. i am pathetic. but it will be fun.
PitC: mariana, the kid who i call the kid who has no friends but i think he has a friend anyway his name is karim, and pretty much no one else. but it will be like old BOTT group times with mariana.
5th: Honors World History, Mr. Whitehead, Rm 235. im for real excited. he gave us an extra credit test about the apartments and stuff in london where rock stars were. his favorite artist is hendrix. he said "your name isnt ms caplan unless your hormone pills stopped working" to peter. morbidly awsome.
PitC: anna talley, emma, peter, austin finney, hannah joyce, a very small foreign freshman boy named calvin(?), ms caplan (the very outspoken and very redheaded freshman whom i dont know but will prove to make this class very interesting)
Lunch: C, freshman lunch, but a decent number of people i enjoy.
PitC: even though its not a class. all those folks from world history (calvin is part of our adopt-a-freshman program) lane, mercer, eileen, kristen howell, hairston, afton, dillon, leo, and hobbit kid. not shabby at all.
6th: Honors Chemistry, Ms. Davis, Rm 103. ms davis is such a crazy mofo. i love her. i already have like, 35 or 40 davis dollars. score. plus, i think i am going to like chemistry. i never imagined that was possible.
PitC: lane, jake whatshisface, the prestons. not too extensive a list, but theres lane.
7th: Honors Algebra II, Rm 034. you notice how i didnt list a teacher? yeah. thats cause i DONT HAVE ONE. thats right. they havent hired a replacement for mr munter yet. and thats what it said on my schedule. algebra ii, charles munter. which of course means that if he had stayed i would be in his wonderful class again instead of in ms douglas's room in alphabetically assigned seats doing ridiculous busy work assigned by a sub. silently. cause we cant talk. W. TF.
PitC: audrey, peter, philly.
so there you have it. that was overdue. if i get over ms douglas making me want to die and get a math teacher, ill be quite happy. except i have no classes with morgan or eileen or mercer (cept lunch). if its odd that i pointed out mercer, i did it cause in 8th i had ALL my classes with her and in 9th i had three and lunch, so im used to a lot of mercer, and now im deprived.
the end.

Rainbow, Panda, Donnie?
okay. so there were three, i think, but the third one referred to the first one so... i dont know. first, dad was driving me home in his fedex van, and it had been raining, so there was a rainbow, but it was much smaller than a normal rainbow, and i could see where the end went, so just as we were driving past that place i JUMPED OUT OF THE CAR. yes. and didnt get myself killt. right, so the rainbow ended under the very end of an overpass where the road is just like twoish feet off the ground, yknow? and the rainbow was kinda sparkly and full of particles and really pretty. so i scooted down under there looking for my pot of gold (obviously) but there wasnt one. there were, however, many different superhuge (between volleyball and basketball sized) jewel-y things, but more opaque, and one was in the bottom of hte road like a button to push, so i pushed it really hard and then i heard my dad honking for me from down the road so i had to go, and he was like, WHAT, and i was like, dude, its the end of a rainbow, why wouldnt i jump out the car?
then amelia and i were in some musical i think at the orpheum, but we hadnt rehearsed it at all (ive had two or three dreams like that) so we just had to go with the flow, and so we followed everyone and crowded around someone in a corner and pretended to listen to them tell a story, then all the other kids left and came back on in panda suits, and i was like, dude amelia, i think we should put on some panda suits, but we went back there and there were none left, so we went on a search of backstage into this HUGE like warehouse room with some panda suits hanging on the ceiling over this like knocked over metal cabinet thing. so we tried to get them down but obviously failed a lot until we saw mrs kim coming and freaked out cause we thought shed be really mad at us for being back there but she just helped us get some down and we talked about white dresses.
finally (and this ones my favorite, not because its extremely bizarre but because its warm and fuzzy) i was at home, but it didnt look like my house, it was just understood. and chase from lakeshore may or may not have been there in the beginning, im not sure, but he disappeared at some point if he was. i dont remember the details as well from this one. so suddenly the phone rang, and it was that huge old grey phone thats in my parents' room, so i answered it and it was donnie. (dont remember or know about donnie? hes the infamous gorgeous boy i met in alabama summer before last and was seriously crushing on until i found out he was five years older than me and thats illegal. his shoulders were freckly.) so naturally i was incredibly giddy and grinny and it was probably really obvious on the phone too, and then in a few minutes he shows up at my house while we're still on the phone and im super happy and then BOOM! he proclaims his love for me. and it wasnt even cheesy either. and so we're still on the phone even though hes like three feet away and we sit on the very squashy couch (the one drew just got yesterday thats blue) and naturally i was blushing like a marysue and im so nervous i refuse to get off the phone and so i turn sideways towards the empty part of the couch and we're still on the phone but his elbow is definitely in contact with my back, and so we talked on the phone for a really long time. at some point i mentioned jumping out of the car. its not interesting, its just very warm and fuzzy. [EDIT] there was a lot of tense change in this paragraph. [/EDIT]
[NEW EDIT] I LJed, dude. www.livejournal.com/~ancilladelectat [/NEW EDIT]
thats it. maybe ill get a job.

Don't Read the Paper
have been having far too much for with amelia, morgan, and eileen. weve been joined at various times by mouse, dunkan, lane, alanna, katherine, and walked to davis kidd a million times. we finished harry potter 51 hours after we bought it. i wont say anything for the sake of those who havent read it yet except i liked it but the first twenty chapters read like a fanfiction. not as good as the fifth one, but still good. we saw charlie and the chocolate factory, a very good movie, and the island, which i liked and morgan kinda liked and mouse and amelia hated. but hey, ewan mcgregor. and theres TWO OF HIM. ive lived at eileens for four nights before last night, when amelia and i came here and morgan went home because we got kicked out of eileens house. lane joined amelia and me but left early this morning. yesterday we had a cannibal luncheon featuring:
Peanut butter and jelly body parts
Research Journalist Soup
Artery Delight
Ladyface
and my personal favorite, Spotted Dick of Mousscius Malfoy: This Shit is BANANAS!
took a shower this morning (hah, morning, 1:00) and amelias in there now. i have a little cold that ive so far treated with one vitamin, one glass of orange juice, and hot oatmeal. i can breathe through both nostils now. well im supposed to read a connecticut yankee while amelia showers, so i should go do that. anybody who can think of anything awesome we did that i havent listed, comment it so i remember in years to come.

here is how i described lakeshore to kathryn:

i want to write a whole lot about it but itll ruin the moment, you know?
i really think im gonna be a christian again, guys. its not like a conscious decision. i just think its happening. and thats really good.
lakeshore makes me all warm and happy. friday night everyone cried. everyone always cries on friday night, but that doesnt make it any less what it is. i FELL DOWN crying in the field on the way back from the tabernacle. it was so intense. i wish everyone could have this.

My mom bought me the dress
!!!!!!!!!!
its yellow, okay? its yellow and white and i love it. and mom bought me it cause i love it and i needed something to wear to my cousin beckys wedding in july. which gives me till july ninth to make it go from a tiny bit too small to juuuust right. i can do it, right? right. wow, three rights in seven words. also i have to buy a strapless bra. a big step, that one.

hey! im going to lakeshore tomorrow! and dont make lakeside references cause thats old.
i volunteered at the library for three and a half hours friday and today. at the book sale. and guys, you dont understand how frustrating it was. the rest of the volunteers were SO INEFFICIENT. they counted slowly, they added slowly-- seriously, WHO needs a calculator to see that 20 paperbacks at 50 cents is 10 dollars? who? but otherwise it was okay, and before i left today they started the BAG SALE. ohemgee. it was awesome. anything you can fit in a grocery bag is three dollars. i got tons of books i only kinda wanted. everything from the complete works of sophocles to calculus to something or other by roald dahl to the norton anthology. <3
going to camp! write to me! ill be there a week!

-the strapless dress i saw at dillards or macys with thin little yellow and white vertical stripes
-pan brigio bread, also in the kitchen
-those pink china flats with cherries on them from flashback.
thats all. well okay, its not all, but its the key things. i finished the driving book, but im still going to study it some more. maybe i can go get my permit monday or tuesday. also, im almost done with the restaurant at the end of the universe. which is scary, cause when i finish it im starting my summer reading. i feel like the dialectical journals wont be quite as scary as i think. hope im right. i went to kathryns birthday party three hours late, which is funny. we chocolate-fondued everything. another list. things that were fondued and eaten by a member of the party:
-strawberry
-brownie
-pizza
-carrot
-celery
-broccoli
-napkin
-dip
-salsa
-tortilla chip
-a pepper. blogger also doesnt have a text color for this.
i spent the night with kathryn. we watched THE ATOMIC BRAIN, which is a movie but also is an hour long. i had apple juice. and too many brownies. mmm.
LANE! I RECORDED YOUR BLOOD DRIPS ON NEWSIES SQUARE FINALLY! MORE INCENTIVE FOR YOU TO INVITE ME OVER!
[EDIT] finished restaurant at the end of the universe. ending indeed semi-lame. the rest was ver. good though. my new not-been-dropped-in-the-toilet-at-the-y phone came. so call me all the time. [/EDIT]

Why I'm Falling Over
06 June 2005
GUYS, SPREAD THE WORD. GET IT OUT OF MEMPHIS. GET IT ANYWHERE YOU CAN.
REMEMBER: those of you who know the whole scoop, DONT NAME NAMES. we dont want to make it any worse for you know who.

Turning Gay Teens Straight Posted: 6/6/2005 10:54:44 PM
Angry protesters battle it out with members of a Mid-South group who are trying to turn gay teens straight! Protesters say the Christian based organization “Love In Action” is brain washing kids and putting them in danger. The program’s organizers say they’re giving gay teens a guide to a straight lifestyle, through prayer.
Reverend John Smid says “The truth is that if someone is expressing themselves homosexually, they are involving themselves in inappropriate sexual conduct.” Smid has been the executive director of “Love In Action” for the past 19 years. He makes no apologies for his strong beliefs about gay and lesbian lifestyles. Smid says he used to be gay, and says sexual exploration by youth is out of control. “Youth are involved in sexual expression through internet pornography through internet communications and physical relationships in heterosexual and homosexual ways, it’s all out of control.” Rev. Smid says “Love In Action” only aligns teens’ sexuality with their parents Christian beliefs.
Protesters showed up in front of the refuge today to protest. Janelle Treibitz says it’s wrong to force kids to participate. “They lump homosexuals with drug and alcohol abuse as if it’s somehow on the same plane, as if it’s something that needs to be treated or healed.”
Protesters fear the long-term effects on families. One protester says “When you have these very natural feelings and you are forced into something like this from your parents who you would hope would be a center of love and guidance and support for you, it’s just a really harmful thing.”
Janelle Treibitz says not every teen needs intervention, rather understanding. “Some of these children are not struggling; they know their sexual identities but parents won’t accept it so they send them here. But those who are struggling and have questions, there are psychologists that can be seen.”

http://www.inoohr.org/ (<--international organization of heterosexual rights. hit it up if youre not quite angry enough yet)

every time i think about this whole thing i want to scream. i cant possibly imagine what these kids will go through in these next weeks. show up to these protests, kids. make signs, come ready, and get heard. ill be at them whenever i can. if your parents wont let you go, stay the night at a friends house and go with them in the morning. its time we did something about this. support your friends, support gays, straights, and everyone in between.
whatever happened to god loving everyone?
EDIT

Yes: 10.0%
No: 88.8%
I don't know: 1.2%
the good news: most of memphis that voted is on our side. the bad news: Yes: 10.0% who are these people?
UPDATED POLL RESULTS:
Do you agree with programs that try to convert homosexuals to heterosexuals?

EDIT II:
FROM THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF LOVE IN ACTION:"I would rather you commit suicide than have you leave Love In Action wanting to return to the gay lifestyle. In a physical death you could still have a spiritual resurrection; whereas, returning to homosexuality you are yielding yourself to a spiritual death from which there is no recovery." --The Final Indoctrination from John Smid, Director, Love In Action (LIA)

Most Heinous Evening.
the tv just said: "no self-respecting van travels anywhere without a sauna." and it said it in some sort of eastern european voice.
our parents and all their friends (none of whom have a daughter but mine) built the biggest fire weve seen in a while cause thats what they do when they get slightly-to-rather drunk. then i read some more. my parents and their friends could think of nothing to say to me all night but "theres sara the smart one reading" and "whatcha reading?" and "youre not finished with that book yet?" and "dont you want a lamp?" listen here: I DO NOT NEED A LAMP. I CAN READ IN THIS LIGHT. STOP TELLING ME ILL HURT MY EYES. sorry, but it was ALL night. anyway, when we headed off at like almost 11, i read in the car by the light of my phone. finished the traveling pants book as we pulled into the driveway and went to bed. kay, now ill get to the dream.
so we were in this place. what this place was varied between a boat and the east gym. i totally forgot the order in which the events took place, so okay. heres all i remember.
1) we (whoever we were) were on this like long term mission or something. aragorn was there. with his two kids. he was a cute daddy. we were sitting outside talking and his kids were cute.
2) my phone rang in the hall on the second floor of the main building (you know in the t) and i ran into the bathroom which was where the stairs are to turn it off but i was all limpy, then i escaped through the back door in one of the stalls back directly into the east gym.
3) there was some natural disaster and i was walking through the ship which had been looted and rolled and stuff and in the back was ashlee simpson and there were these two boys who were maybe like 11 and i told them to go get something for ashlee simpson but they needed a swimsuit to get into the public pool you know so i gave them the batsuit but it was red and they took it and went to get whatever it was they were gonna get.
4) the east gym was way bigger and we had to march in lines and take out the garbage.
like, wtf, mates? i dont even know.
today i went to old navy, tj maxx, and target to find comfy activewear. old navy had tanks for two for ten ducks. then i went to the YMCA for AB ATTACK. man, it lived up to its name. now im going to morgans hizzle. and thats it.

Eatin' Good in the Neighborhood
(because last year i had one too)
(i flickr'd, guys: http://flickr.com/photos/honeylight/sets/366853/ )
i spent the beginning hours of the summer embodying the summer mood. after moved, eileen, morgan, and i went to IHOP. then we took mouse home and drove past hunter thompsons house, where there were a million cop cars cause someone was shooting a gun in the air. but justin didnt get arrested. then we went to eileens and swam in the dark for like an hour or more, dried off and slept outside on the trampoline, which was amazing. got up and had pancakes and swam again, walked to the mall and tried on several ridiculous things (actually i found one dress i liked but it was one size too small and cost 54 ducks), walked home, invited devin over and decided to have a lemonade stand in front of justins house without telling him, but he was off for jackson so we decided to do it to mouse cause we'd already made lemonade, but eileen and devin had an impulse and jumped in the pool so we just drank it and swam again, then lay on the hot black trampoline for a while feeling much like iguanas and acquiring a lovely pink hue all the while. but that was just me. when i left my mom and i went to buy her some shoes but we bought me some instead. theyre very summer. one pair is yellow and one is blue. i still want some orange crocs (you know, those rubberyplasticy shoes with the holes all in 'em.)
heres what i know about my exams
latin: probably like a B
choir: 96
gym: probably a 98 cause i forgot how many points a somethinorother was worth
munt: 98
clue: 97
bio: probably like a B
so thats probably four A's and two B's which, considering exams are not my forte (theyre probably my pianissimo), is pretty good. last semester i got four B's and two A's.
novus concert: actual success. there were over 200 people there. sweet. i love you if you came. and listen here,
IF YOU TOLD ME YOU WOULD COME AND YOU DONT HAVE A DECENT REASON FOR WHY YOU DIDNT, I HAVE NO PROBLEM HUNTING YOU DOWN AND WREAKING HAVOC UPON YOUR BONES UNTIL I HAVE SMITTEN YOUR RUIN ON THE MOUNTAINSIDE.
moved this weekend was great. i love you if you came. i didnt consider myself all free and clear until almost 5:30 today when i left strike after the last performance. and listen here,
IF YOU TOLD ME YOU WOULD COME AND YOU DONT HAVE A DECENT REASON FOR WHY YOU DIDNT, I HAVE NO PROBLEM HUNTING YOU DOWN AND WREAKING HAVOC UPON YOUR BONES UNTIL I HAVE SMITTEN YOUR RUIN ON THE MOUNTAINSIDE.
i repeated for emphasis.
anyway, my family (being me, mom, dad, drew, cody, and cody counts as family now because seriously, when was the last time she slept at HER house?) went to applebees after the show, and i must say the service there has vastly improved. also, their shrimp fettucini alfredo now comes in a bowl. cody and i got almost the same thing, shirley temple and all, except her fettucini alfredo had chicken in it. but it was in a bowl too.
did anyone go to that douglass meeting? or do any lovey bunny rising juniors wanna give me any helpful hints on those dialectical journals? im gunna buy the books tomorrow. well, its my mothers money.
also tomorrow, STAR WARS. im going to see it on the super massive its-like-watching-the-side-of-an-office-building screen downtown. im excited. beifuss liked it. ima get a pretzel. yeewoo.
anyone know of a place thatll hire me at my wee age and pay at least, yknow, almost minimum wage? hit me up.

Here's Something I Don't Talk About Ever
1) the dancing at parties kind of dancing is not something i do.
2) today i wanted to be good but ate several servings of cheetos instead.
3) when i had bronchitis i lost six pounds and gained it back within a month.
4) in my recent effort to slim down, ive gained seven pounds.
heres something else:
1) i miss my hair.
2) it won't be that long again for about five years.
3) i dont have the effort to straighten it every other day.
4) ps: if ive recently said to you jokingly GOD I DID IT JUST FOR YOU, remember that many a truth is said in jest.
one more thing:
mean what you say.

Go! Go! Go! Go!
yeah. thats enough. but im so old now! of course, you stop feeling older on birthdays between like, 12 and 27, but still. so heres the jones. i think i caught the feel older bug because of a few changes that accompanied this day. like how i got a cell phone. (!!!!) please call me on nights and weekends all the time. 2390825. and you know, i still love you during the day, but 59 second phone calls ARE possible. lets make it happen. another big change many of you know about but some dont, i wont tell you. see for yourself. and also, lena made me buy makeup. not too much, but still. it counts.
friday i went to morgans for star wars. had horrible cramps, but they laid off after a while (thank you aleve!) it was fun anyway. saturday my mother took me all over the place for the best day. we saw janelle at lunch in the little french place where we ate, went by painted planet and java, saw mystery of the nile at the imax, and went to bride and prejudice. yesterday we had dinner at chilis. yaybeans. today is my birthday, and i am going places with ms june because we do it every year. shes supposed to be here... half an hour ago. but you know how the scudders are.
im liking this change. its easier. 10 minutes total? how sweet is that bowl of mushrooms?
im out like justin in a no-mentioning-the-daily-show contest.
06 March 2005
Alas, Alas for you
