My mom bought me the dress

!

!!!!!!!!!!

its yellow, okay? its yellow and white and i love it. and mom bought me it cause i love it and i needed something to wear to my cousin beckys wedding in july. which gives me till july ninth to make it go from a tiny bit too small to juuuust right. i can do it, right? right. wow, three rights in seven words. also i have to buy a strapless bra. a big step, that one.

drew got a virus. it was bad, but brief. hes doing better now.

i got some orbit gum. (a good clean feeling-- no matter what.)

hey! im going to lakeshore tomorrow! and dont make lakeside references cause thats old.

i volunteered at the library for three and a half hours friday and today. at the book sale. and guys, you dont understand how frustrating it was. the rest of the volunteers were SO INEFFICIENT. they counted slowly, they added slowly-- seriously, WHO needs a calculator to see that 20 paperbacks at 50 cents is 10 dollars? who? but otherwise it was okay, and before i left today they started the BAG SALE. ohemgee. it was awesome. anything you can fit in a grocery bag is three dollars. i got tons of books i only kinda wanted. everything from the complete works of sophocles to calculus to something or other by roald dahl to the norton anthology. <3

going to camp! write to me! ill be there a week!

Guilty Pleasures ('n' other stuff)

im feeling very female and not very determined. this is not a sad post. im in a good mood. i just thought you might want to know. here are some things i hanker for right now:
-brown esprit heels i saw in dillards or macys the other time with the little pink bow and the pink piping. blogger doesnt have a text color the color of this bow and this piping. theyre very bright pink.
-the other brownie in the kitchen

-the strapless dress i saw at dillards or macys with thin little yellow and white vertical stripes
-pan brigio bread, also in the kitchen
-those pink china flats with cherries on them from flashback.

thats all. well okay, its not all, but its the key things. i finished the driving book, but im still going to study it some more. maybe i can go get my permit monday or tuesday. also, im almost done with the restaurant at the end of the universe. which is scary, cause when i finish it im starting my summer reading. i feel like the dialectical journals wont be quite as scary as i think. hope im right. i went to kathryns birthday party three hours late, which is funny. we chocolate-fondued everything. another list. things that were fondued and eaten by a member of the party:
-strawberry
-brownie
-pizza
-carrot
-celery
-broccoli
-napkin
-dip
-salsa
-tortilla chip
-a pepper. blogger also doesnt have a text color for this.

i spent the night with kathryn. we watched THE ATOMIC BRAIN, which is a movie but also is an hour long. i had apple juice. and too many brownies. mmm.

LANE! I RECORDED YOUR BLOOD DRIPS ON NEWSIES SQUARE FINALLY! MORE INCENTIVE FOR YOU TO INVITE ME OVER!

[EDIT] finished restaurant at the end of the universe. ending indeed semi-lame. the rest was ver. good though. my new not-been-dropped-in-the-toilet-at-the-y phone came. so call me all the time. [/EDIT]

Why I'm Falling Over

yesterday i went to skateland at 730. then at 9 i went to morgans. we rented phantom of the opera. we ate leftover pizza. eileen was there also. she drew on my back. very cool, but it smeared. at 130am we started phantom of the opera. good movie that one. emmy rossums voice is nice. so it ended. at 4am we went to bed and at 7 we awoke. at 8 janelle came and took us to the protest. it was good. twentyish people. some kid there said he wasnt with the protest and got all this information from the camp. cool. at any rate, GIVE ME NAP-ERTY OR GIVE ME DEATH

GUYS, SPREAD THE WORD. GET IT OUT OF MEMPHIS. GET IT ANYWHERE YOU CAN.

most of you know all of this, but it needs to be everywhere. take it, share it, spread it. put info on your blogs and livejournals even if you think no one who doesnt already know will read it, cause maybe they will.

REMEMBER: those of you who know the whole scoop, DONT NAME NAMES. we dont want to make it any worse for you know who.

this was on the eyewitness news website. (myeyewitnessnews.com/news/local/story.aspx?content_id=E46B7C69-EBD7-4429-A26F-DFC31CC02016)
Turning Gay Teens Straight Posted: 6/6/2005 10:54:44 PM
Angry protesters battle it out with members of a Mid-South group who are trying to turn gay teens straight! Protesters say the Christian based organization “Love In Action” is brain washing kids and putting them in danger. The program’s organizers say they’re giving gay teens a guide to a straight lifestyle, through prayer.

Reverend John Smid says “The truth is that if someone is expressing themselves homosexually, they are involving themselves in inappropriate sexual conduct.” Smid has been the executive director of “Love In Action” for the past 19 years. He makes no apologies for his strong beliefs about gay and lesbian lifestyles. Smid says he used to be gay, and says sexual exploration by youth is out of control. “Youth are involved in sexual expression through internet pornography through internet communications and physical relationships in heterosexual and homosexual ways, it’s all out of control.” Rev. Smid says “Love In Action” only aligns teens’ sexuality with their parents Christian beliefs.

Protesters showed up in front of the refuge today to protest. Janelle Treibitz says it’s wrong to force kids to participate. “They lump homosexuals with drug and alcohol abuse as if it’s somehow on the same plane, as if it’s something that needs to be treated or healed.”

Protesters fear the long-term effects on families. One protester says “When you have these very natural feelings and you are forced into something like this from your parents who you would hope would be a center of love and guidance and support for you, it’s just a really harmful thing.”

Janelle Treibitz says not every teen needs intervention, rather understanding. “Some of these children are not struggling; they know their sexual identities but parents won’t accept it so they send them here. But those who are struggling and have questions, there are psychologists that can be seen.”

http://www.inoohr.org/ (<--international organization of heterosexual rights. hit it up if youre not quite angry enough yet)
http://www.asafeplace.org (<--the camps webwsite)

every time i think about this whole thing i want to scream. i cant possibly imagine what these kids will go through in these next weeks. show up to these protests, kids. make signs, come ready, and get heard. ill be at them whenever i can. if your parents wont let you go, stay the night at a friends house and go with them in the morning. its time we did something about this. support your friends, support gays, straights, and everyone in between.

whatever happened to god loving everyone?

EDIT
this was myeyewitnessnews.com's daily poll.

No: 88.8%
I don't know: 1.2%

UPDATED POLL RESULTS:

Do you agree with programs that try to convert homosexuals to heterosexuals?

EDIT II:

FROM THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF LOVE IN ACTION:"I would rather you commit suicide than have you leave Love In Action wanting to return to the gay lifestyle. In a physical death you could still have a spiritual resurrection; whereas, returning to homosexuality you are yielding yourself to a spiritual death from which there is no recovery." --The Final Indoctrination from John Smid, Director, Love In Action (LIA)

30 May 2005

Most Heinous Evening.

that is, i had a weird dream. ill get to it. first i went to spencer mississippi. innocent bystanders would never suspect we were friends, seeing us there with him playing halo [or something] and me reading the entirety of the sisterhood of the traveling pants. but we had like an hour (out of seven) of friendly time. we watched whos line together and i threw a pillow at him for making fun of gilmore girls. it was like in a movie, but we didnt fall in love. there was so much food i almost died. and though i did eat an inordinate amount, it was still less than i would have without some serious determination and spencers friend robert (?) there so i could say "hey, you want this hushpuppy? you want this piece a' meat?" to him.

the tv just said: "no self-respecting van travels anywhere without a sauna." and it said it in some sort of eastern european voice.

our parents and all their friends (none of whom have a daughter but mine) built the biggest fire weve seen in a while cause thats what they do when they get slightly-to-rather drunk. then i read some more. my parents and their friends could think of nothing to say to me all night but "theres sara the smart one reading" and "whatcha reading?" and "youre not finished with that book yet?" and "dont you want a lamp?" listen here: I DO NOT NEED A LAMP. I CAN READ IN THIS LIGHT. STOP TELLING ME ILL HURT MY EYES. sorry, but it was ALL night. anyway, when we headed off at like almost 11, i read in the car by the light of my phone. finished the traveling pants book as we pulled into the driveway and went to bed. kay, now ill get to the dream.

so we were in this place. what this place was varied between a boat and the east gym. i totally forgot the order in which the events took place, so okay. heres all i remember.
1) we (whoever we were) were on this like long term mission or something. aragorn was there. with his two kids. he was a cute daddy. we were sitting outside talking and his kids were cute.
2) my phone rang in the hall on the second floor of the main building (you know in the t) and i ran into the bathroom which was where the stairs are to turn it off but i was all limpy, then i escaped through the back door in one of the stalls back directly into the east gym.
3) there was some natural disaster and i was walking through the ship which had been looted and rolled and stuff and in the back was ashlee simpson and there were these two boys who were maybe like 11 and i told them to go get something for ashlee simpson but they needed a swimsuit to get into the public pool you know so i gave them the batsuit but it was red and they took it and went to get whatever it was they were gonna get.
4) the east gym was way bigger and we had to march in lines and take out the garbage.

like, wtf, mates? i dont even know.

today i went to old navy, tj maxx, and target to find comfy activewear. old navy had tanks for two for ten ducks. then i went to the YMCA for AB ATTACK. man, it lived up to its name. now im going to morgans hizzle. and thats it.

in just over a one-week period, i lose three things i need to survive.

(in other news, cooked everything in mouses house, joined the Y, went to mercers party, possibly tied some friendship knots with lilla.)

Feelin' Down (again, sorry guys)

yknow what bites?

losing friends.

WHAT.

NO.

why? where is the personality conflict? because i prefer sleep to burns? because i like lo mein? i dont understand.

its summer. where is the love?

Eatin' Good in the Neighborhood

its the obligatory school out post... PART DEUX!
(because last year i had one too)

(i flickr'd, guys: http://flickr.com/photos/honeylight/sets/366853/ )

i spent the beginning hours of the summer embodying the summer mood. after moved, eileen, morgan, and i went to IHOP. then we took mouse home and drove past hunter thompsons house, where there were a million cop cars cause someone was shooting a gun in the air. but justin didnt get arrested. then we went to eileens and swam in the dark for like an hour or more, dried off and slept outside on the trampoline, which was amazing. got up and had pancakes and swam again, walked to the mall and tried on several ridiculous things (actually i found one dress i liked but it was one size too small and cost 54 ducks), walked home, invited devin over and decided to have a lemonade stand in front of justins house without telling him, but he was off for jackson so we decided to do it to mouse cause we'd already made lemonade, but eileen and devin had an impulse and jumped in the pool so we just drank it and swam again, then lay on the hot black trampoline for a while feeling much like iguanas and acquiring a lovely pink hue all the while. but that was just me. when i left my mom and i went to buy her some shoes but we bought me some instead. theyre very summer. one pair is yellow and one is blue. i still want some orange crocs (you know, those rubberyplasticy shoes with the holes all in 'em.)

heres what i know about my exams
latin: probably like a B
choir: 96
gym: probably a 98 cause i forgot how many points a somethinorother was worth
munt: 98
clue: 97
bio: probably like a B

so thats probably four A's and two B's which, considering exams are not my forte (theyre probably my pianissimo), is pretty good. last semester i got four B's and two A's.

novus concert: actual success. there were over 200 people there. sweet. i love you if you came. and listen here,
IF YOU TOLD ME YOU WOULD COME AND YOU DONT HAVE A DECENT REASON FOR WHY YOU DIDNT, I HAVE NO PROBLEM HUNTING YOU DOWN AND WREAKING HAVOC UPON YOUR BONES UNTIL I HAVE SMITTEN YOUR RUIN ON THE MOUNTAINSIDE.
moved this weekend was great. i love you if you came. i didnt consider myself all free and clear until almost 5:30 today when i left strike after the last performance. and listen here,
IF YOU TOLD ME YOU WOULD COME AND YOU DONT HAVE A DECENT REASON FOR WHY YOU DIDNT, I HAVE NO PROBLEM HUNTING YOU DOWN AND WREAKING HAVOC UPON YOUR BONES UNTIL I HAVE SMITTEN YOUR RUIN ON THE MOUNTAINSIDE.

i repeated for emphasis.

anyway, my family (being me, mom, dad, drew, cody, and cody counts as family now because seriously, when was the last time she slept at HER house?) went to applebees after the show, and i must say the service there has vastly improved. also, their shrimp fettucini alfredo now comes in a bowl. cody and i got almost the same thing, shirley temple and all, except her fettucini alfredo had chicken in it. but it was in a bowl too.

did anyone go to that douglass meeting? or do any lovey bunny rising juniors wanna give me any helpful hints on those dialectical journals? im gunna buy the books tomorrow. well, its my mothers money.

also tomorrow, STAR WARS. im going to see it on the super massive its-like-watching-the-side-of-an-office-building screen downtown. im excited. beifuss liked it. ima get a pretzel. yeewoo.

anyone know of a place thatll hire me at my wee age and pay at least, yknow, almost minimum wage? hit me up.

18 May 2005

I Love You Guys

two more days of exams, a weekend of Moved, then i can sleep off this mess. i really love you guys.

Here's Something I Don't Talk About Ever

well, kids, its roughly midnight between mays 14 and 15. and, kids, we all know being up late without company can get you kinda down. it does me anyway. so im gunna just say a couple of things and you can guess how im feeling. and though i appreciate the "aw i love you" comments, if you can think of something more unique, do. here:

1) the dancing at parties kind of dancing is not something i do.
2) today i wanted to be good but ate several servings of cheetos instead.
3) when i had bronchitis i lost six pounds and gained it back within a month.
4) in my recent effort to slim down, ive gained seven pounds.

heres something else:

1) i miss my hair.
2) it won't be that long again for about five years.
3) i dont have the effort to straighten it every other day.
4) ps: if ive recently said to you jokingly GOD I DID IT JUST FOR YOU, remember that many a truth is said in jest.

one more thing:

mean what you say.

10 May 2005

holy moses!

i livejournaled, you guys. what.

09 May 2005

It's Not Much, But It's Also 10:39

so, wtf? what happened to the 04-05 school year? im glad i guess, that its been fast, but if all of high school takes three minutes like this has, ill miss all the fun. like. NINE DAYS. and for the next four, i wont sleep much. but s'cool. i can deal, eh? say eh. so then, we bought ice cream. and i want a chocolate-covered animal cracker. and guess what. WE HAVE SOME.

i love you guys, but its tech week. will you see me much? most unlikely. eileen says something like: the ratio of rehearsal to not rehearsal has been staggeringly in favor of rehearsal lately.

true dat, mista.

14 March 2005

Go! Go! Go! Go!

go shawdy, ish ya burfday, we gon pawdy like ish ya birfday, we gon sip... ovaltine? like ish ya burfday...

yeah. thats enough. but im so old now! of course, you stop feeling older on birthdays between like, 12 and 27, but still. so heres the jones. i think i caught the feel older bug because of a few changes that accompanied this day. like how i got a cell phone. (!!!!) please call me on nights and weekends all the time. 2390825. and you know, i still love you during the day, but 59 second phone calls ARE possible. lets make it happen. another big change many of you know about but some dont, i wont tell you. see for yourself. and also, lena made me buy makeup. not too much, but still. it counts.

friday i went to morgans for star wars. had horrible cramps, but they laid off after a while (thank you aleve!) it was fun anyway. saturday my mother took me all over the place for the best day. we saw janelle at lunch in the little french place where we ate, went by painted planet and java, saw mystery of the nile at the imax, and went to bride and prejudice. yesterday we had dinner at chilis. yaybeans. today is my birthday, and i am going places with ms june because we do it every year. shes supposed to be here... half an hour ago. but you know how the scudders are.

im liking this change. its easier. 10 minutes total? how sweet is that bowl of mushrooms?

im out like justin in a no-mentioning-the-daily-show contest.

imagination, one was awesome this weekend. and last. im so glad it pulled together. i need to send sarah those pictures. we had lenas party friday night. devin, me, peter, morgan, eileen, lena. it was great. i posted some pictures on flickr ( http://flickr.com/photos/honeylight/ ). o devin. what a silly bean.

i have to do my book report tomorrow. the whole thing. at least ive finished the book. o man. i think i can read something i WANT to read now. yeewah. what shall i read? feed? wicked? brave new world? something ELSE? the world may never know.

ANDY HARPER IS GOING TO WHITE STATION NEXT YEAR.
my life is complete.

12 February 2005

/This/ is life.

i love time. its so glorious to not be stressed. theres the book report, but that wont be too troublesome. im close to done with angelas ashes. frankly, i think the biggest stress factor in my life at this time is that i kinda have to pee. ive been shoved back into the mindset that blogs are for writing down your thoughts and not telling the world what you did today. so heres my obligatory single-at-valentines thoughts. ready? go:

ive been single every valentines. so what? it a stupid holiday anyway. yknow what i did last valentines? i took kristen to the imax. we had fun. there ya go. yknow what ima do this valentines? nothing. its on a monday. puhLEEZE.

imagination, one has been going well. its really a good show indeed. please come. 8 tomorrow, 8 next friday, 8 next saturday, 3 next sunday. theatreworks. 8 dollars students, 10 adults. you know you wanna.

thoughts on giving up meat for lent: i dont think i like this. its hard. i eat more meat than i thought. no, allow me to rephrase. i eat more than i thought.

i hate food.

im skipping a lot of lines. i dreamed i smoked and it was scary. i feel like im older than i realize. there are things that i think are big deals that are apparently not. people should not be having sex yet. no. its too soon. people should not be doing drugs. jesus. why dont people think drugs are bad? do my friends think im annoying because i want them to be good? do they think im annoying because i dont pack a lunch? yes. those are things that wont change.

jesus, help me believe in you. i want to. and im trying.

Hallelujah, Grace Like Rain

its been too long. im a bad person. and whats worse, im sleepy, so this wont be long.

ill tell you about the bear.
i was dreaming. i bought some listerine pocket packs, the new citrus kind. i went to check the car, and there was a bear, the bear from fox and the hound, sleeping in the car. it woke up and tried to chase me into the house. i locked it in the back yard. there was another bear in the house, just like the other. it attacked me. there was someone else in the house not being helpful just screaming, and the bear was knawing on my hand. it was massive. then a man outside who was being attacked by a huge rabid dog tried to escape into the house but the dog got in. i thought if the bear and the dog mauled each other to death itd solve both our problems. i picked up the bear and threw it at the dog.

ill tell you about mtv.
anna was on made. they interviewed me like, thrice. i got on the show. it aired thursday. national tv. i think its really cool even though mtv is wickedcorrupted and such. i like thinking a lot of people in the country heard me say farfigburgen. i wore hatties shirt. friday she said, "MY shirt. you got credit for my shirt. and now people everywhere think its yours." they played a jig in the background when i was on. spencer was on too, not very long. and bradley. so pretty. we all watched it on the big tv in a conference room at u of m. with pizza.

ill tell you about american eagle.
lena took me shopping today at oak court. because im tired of not having many clothes i like. we went to the following stores i thought id never enter willingly: gap, aeropostale, american eagle, etc. there was a school shirt at aeropostale i wanted for 2 for $20, but i only wanted one and they were too expensive not to get two. at american eagle i found three things i liked and bought two of them. a lovely creamy sweater on sale for 10, and some dark khaki corduroys i adore on sale for twenty. there was an almost knee-length skirt i wanted, but i didnt want to spend more money unless i found a school shirt, so i didnt get it. i really liked it though, and i hope lena remembers that its only $15 and its not too far from my birthday *wink* at payless they had nothing good for once.
i feel horrible for shopping at places at which i used to snarl, but you know, its time to widen my horizens. and i like their clothes. so leemee 'lone.
then i went to target and got a 5 dollar dublin shirt and a cheating school shirt and new underwear. then i went to rehearsal. then i went to finding neverland. it was beautiful.

i love everyone. i want to go to lakeshore and write. i want to be a good christian. i want to wear an 8-10 instead of a 10-12.

thats all.

Stolen from Emma

UPDATE! its over! you win!

UPDATE! okay, my friends know my music way too well. but there are a few you havent gotten that i really think you can. i think eileen should get 13 and ALL OF YOU should know 14. 17 IS into the woods, but it doesnt count without the title. same with 23. come on guys, lets knock the whole list out.

Step 1: Get your playlist together, put it on random, and play
Step 2: Pick your favorite lines from the first 25 songs that play
Step 3: Post and let everyone you know guess what song the lines come from
Step 4: Cross-out the songs when someone guesses correctly (and by cross out, i mean change the color)
NO CHEATING, YOU DWEEBS!
ready? GO!

1. She keeps moet et chandon in her pretty cabinet. 'Let them eat cake,' she says, just like Marie Antoinette.
"Killer Queen" Queen (HATTIE)

2. So your old lady don't love you no more. So you're afraid zere's a volf at your door. So you've got streetrats dat scream in your ear? ...You win some, you lose some, my dear!

"High Times, Hard Times" Newsies (EILEEN, HATTIE)

3. Fallin’ all over myself to lick your heart and taste your health 'cause, with birds I'll share this lonely view...
"Scar Tissue" Red Hot Chili Peppers (EMMA, EILEEN)

4. I can dim the lights and sing you songs full of sad things, we can do the tango just for two.
"(Good Old Fashioned) Lover Boy" Queen (HATTIE)

5. What you feel is what you are, what you are is beautiful.

"Slide" Googoo Dolls (LILLA)

6. So excuse me forgetting, but these things I do. You see I've forgotten if they're green or they're blue. Anyway, the thing is, what I really mean: yours are the sweetest eyes I've ever seen.

"Your Song" Ewan McGregor (EMMA)

7. Drug money is used to rig elections, and train brutal corporate sponsored dictators around the world. They're trying to build a prison! They're trying to build a prison! They're trying to build a prison! (for you and me to live in)
"Prison Song" System of a Down (JUSTIN)

8. And I am sorry, I am not a maiden fair. And I am not a kitten stuck up a tree somewhere.

"Not a Pretty Girl" Ani Difranco (EILEEN)

9. Music! Food of love, emotion, mathematics, isolation! Rhythm, feeling, power, harmony, and heavy competition!
"La Vie Boheme" RENT (EILEEN, HATTIE)

10. You! he thought he heard her say. What brings you here today? Poor young rich boy! Masturbates for a vaudeville tart! What a waste of a firey heart! ::(and also):: Leave your little backyard, my friend! There are causes to DIE for!

"The Night that Goldman Spoke at Union Square" Ragtime (JUSTIN, EILEEN, HATTIE)

11. It well may be that we will never meet again, in this lifetime, so let me say before we part so much of me is made of what I learned from you. You'll be with me, like a handprint on my heart. And now whatever
way our stories end, I know you have re-written mine by being my friend.

"For Good" Wicked (EILEEN even though she got the title wrong, HATTIE, LILLA)

12. :His beauty doth all things excel. By faith I know but ne'er can tell.: The glory which I now can see in Jesus Christ, the apple tree. "
Jesus Christ, the Apple Tree" Novus Girls (RACHEL O'C, LILLA)

13. If it weren't for my brain, I'd go over and make friends. Too bad about my brain 'cause I'd like to make friends.

"This Boquet" Ani Difranco (ALANNA)

14. The last time I saw you, we had just split in two. You was looking at me, I was looking at you. You had a way so familiar I could not recognize, cause you had blood on your face, and I had blood in my eyes, but I could swear by your expression that the pain down in your soul was the same as the one down in mine. That's the pain that cuts a straight line down through the heart. We call it love. We wrapped our arms around each other, tried to shove ourselves back together. We were makin' love, makin' love.

"The Origin of Love" Hedwig & the Angry Inch Soundtrack (ALANNA)

15. Yellow man in Timbucktoo. Colour for both me and you. Kung fu fighting, dancing queen. Tribal spaceman, and all that's in between!

"Spice Up Your Life!" Spice Girls (MOUSE, LILLA)

16. You teach? I teach. Computer age philosophy. But my students would rather watch TV. Huh, America. America!

"Santa Fe" RENT (EILEEN even though she got the title wrong)

17. Do not put your faith In a cape and a hood; they will not protect you the way that they should. And take extra care with strangers; even flowers have their dangers, and though scary is exciting, nice is different than good.
"I Know Things Now" Into the Woods (MORGAN)

18. For the sum of my life I have lived in hope, we might all be Christian brothers. I have worked to pursuade every white-skinned man, that he need not fear our race. I deplore Mr. Walker's actions, and the irreparable harm he has done to my people, and I wish that I might tell him face to face.

"Coalhouse Demands" Ragtime (both EILEEN and JUSTIN had the general idea, but neither of them got it right. HATTIE, however, did.)

19. So if you care to find me, look to the western sky! As someone told me lately, everyone deserves the chance to fly! And if I'm flying solo, at least I'm flying free. To those who'd ground me, take a message back from me: tell them how I am defying gravity! I'm flying high, defying gravity, and soon I'll match them in renown. And nobody, in all of Oz, no wizard that there is or was, is ever gonna bring-- ME DOWN!
"Defying Gravity" Wicked (EMMA, LILLA)

20. Do you know you're the one I adore? Next year at Hogwarts you'll see I've transformed. I will hold my head up high; I'm a Gryffindor! And you won't need to save me anymore.

"Ode to Harry Potter" Switchblade Kittens (EILEEN even though once again she's too lazy to look up the title.)

21. No, I'm not here to harm you, I only want to KILL! You shall have your monster, I shall drink my fill. At last I am embracing my bloody destiny! Dear Mom and Dad this face will be, the last thing that you ever see! Revenge will be a home for me!

"Apology to a Cow" Batboy (EILEEN, HATTIE got the idea.)

22. Stop running, stop running, turn around. Please come back, come back to me now. If you refuse, hasten your stride, just know I'll always be running by your side.

"Road to Nowhere" Sandyfeet (EILEEN who doesn't know the real title of any song in the world)

23. Exploring things you'd never dare 'cause you don't care when suddenly there's a big tall terrible giant at the door. A big tall lady giant sweeping the floor. And she gives you food and she gives you rest, and she draws you close to her giant breast, and you know things now that you never knew before. Not 'till the sky.
"Giants in the Sky" Into the Woods (ALANNA)

24. Poor! All my life I've always been poor! I keep asking God what I'm for, and he tells me "Gee, I'm not sure! SWEEP THAT FLOOR, KID!"
"Skid Row (Downtown)" Little Shop of Horrors (EILEEN)

25. And if you've got no other choice, you know you can follow my voice, through the dark turns and noise of this wicked little town.

"Wicked Little Town" Hedwig and the Angry Inch (EILEEN)

Well. That was fun. Break a leg.

Like, WTF, mates?

holy crickets, batman, youre harry potter!

o yes. i can be robin (he ran away from a chicken this morning) and hermione in the same sentence, biznatch. like this. (yes, i did it, and yes, i have too much late-night spare time)

holy crickets, batman, youre harry potter!
o yeah. thats me. uh huh. but only for the moment.

there is a NINE HOUR BOY MEETS WORLD MARATHON on sunday. abc family, biznatch. you just dont understand how good this is. and with new degrassi. JESUS. how am i going to have time to read great expectations? on that note, i hope you people appreciate that im posting. cause i should be reading. or study-questions-ing. which is actually what i got on the computer to do. almost two hours ago. and have i done ANY study questions? ...well, ill let you infer the answer on that one.

im listening to the novus practice cd. not because i want to practice, but because i like it. o my god. DORK. but we all knew that.
didnt we?

its freezing. i really wanna go to bed. but i havent blogged in forever and well, honestly, i just love you guys. or something. puerum cum maria! matre ejus! all right. latin mess. adoraverunt. eum! right. but we already clarified that i was a dork.

last night i spent it with eileen, and we coined ludicrous philosophies. there was a tie for best ludicrous philosophy, between
  • matter and time and space are like justin. if they walk to the car in a skirt, their parents will freak out a lot. and
  • there is like a hundred time and space.

of course they both make sense. shut up! YES THEY DO!

WOMAN! WHERE IS MY SUPPER?!

and that was the end of that.

14 November 2004

OH LOCHINVAR! YOURE SOOO DREEEAMY!

and why, you few, you proud, you readers of my blog ask, have i not really posted in ages? well. youd get a really long post from me today, except that i did radio play for like eleven hours. jesus. its good though. i am so busy. okay. radio play, yeah. and the normal chamber and novus and great expectations, which is an activity in of itself. plus, mr williams has us memorizing music out of rehearsal nowadays. AND he's added three more rehearsals. jesus, i say again. im sorry. i cant do this. i gotta go. call me when you have a nap handy, and a chill pill. jesus.

in case you didnt know, heteros can be

Ta mo bhriste tri thine
Ta mo bhriste tri thine - 'My trousers are on fire.'You're a few bricks short of a load, aren't you? You're probably not allowed to use sharp objects and you should be locked in a rubber room. With Rubber rats. Rubber rats? I hate rubber rats. They drive me crazy. Crazy? I was crazy once. They put me in a rubber room. With rubber rats. Rubber rats? I hate rubber rats...

Abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz!

lena and i have discovered the most amazing game ever. it is to create [something resembling] a sentence, wherein every word starts with the following alphabet letter. for example:

and by candles damned effortlesly for good hell in just knowing llamas made no opinion parted queens ready stern to under violins wondering xylophones you zoo.

after bacon comes demon effigies fondling great health in just keeping lampoons motivated never opening portals quarterly really stern teachings under "velocian" wanderers Xtreme young zebras

Altered beets come down easily from grand hammocks is just keen learnings meaning none open perinial quilts restoring some tainted unviverse with xeens younder zeffers

alexander beat candy dogs enough for grouling handlings in johns kitchen lying mans no opinionated poops quiling rest stoffers to unified veiling wonder x-chromosone youthfuling zurie

amazing benign catalysts damage every fine grood hottie in juxtaposed kite lovin' monosaccharides naught overly propinquitous quandries stating too usefull virginity was x-the-variable younger zingers!

and all was come to darkness.

recap: this weekend i went to lakeshore for the writers retreat. o the joy. it was amazing. maybe ill at some point post some of the stuff i wrote there. maybe not. i have math homework. i already did biology and it was lame. mouse burned me Wicked and i swear on the souls of my dead relatives that Defying Gravity made me cry. its so nice. ten points to mouse for that. and ten points to sean for fetching us a good table at lunch today despite the rain and everyone flocking inside. and ten points to mulan for COMING OUT ON DVD TOMORROW. and ten thousand points to morgan for being the best and reading her poem to the class and giving me someone with whom to see huckabees this weekend. anyone else wanna come? then come.

Meat Pies

dunkan came over. we made meat pie. fun times. today was a good day until about five minutes ago. its high time i gave up, doncha think? yup. i cant read what im writing because its in white. mother made chicken for dinner. i dont have choir tomorrow. i almost went to wendys with hattie, but mother wants her to get a little more experience driving. i shouldve known. here you go david caffey. almost interesting facts about my life. score one for life.

hey. artist. you got a dollar?

huh.
i thought not.

23 September 2004

ANI!

ANIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!

o. my. god. ANI. she was amazing. wonderful. awesome. short.

we went, and we waited outside forever, and then they let us in and we waited inside forever, and then the lesbian comedian came and was funny, but we wanted to hear ani. and then the indigo girls came and they were great too, but we WANTED TO HEAR ANI. then when the indigo girls got done they had a twenty minute slideshow about american rights history or something, and LORD did we wanna hear ani. and then! she came! ah! we all died, except not, because ani is a goddess. shes very short and cute and had a bass player who was awesome. andandand--

i love ani. i do i do. i am very sleepy. and i cant sing. because of ani. we stood up for four hours. it was SO worth it. SO. *dies in bliss*

12 September 2004

And POOF! You're Dead.

this is what happens when school starts. you get lots and lots and LOTS of homework starting about a week and a half in, and then suddenly youre not blogging for three weeks or so. god. i suck. surely something interesting has happened in all that time, right?

Right?

*long pause* i got nothin. im gunna have to ramble. and by ramble, i mean talk about whatever the helk i wanna with no point or purpose. goody! okay. guess who came to my house. thats right: LANE! w00t! it was so totally krunk and exciting what with foreign language night at the football game and winning by a million and 60s togas and hattie and eileen and lane and falling asleep on the couch and at the computer and going to novus and general happiness. at novus we got all rearranged to see where we sounded best. im not on the end by rachel o'c anymore. but ill live. im by coretta and some girl i dont know, but mouse is the other side of coretta, so that will be good times. i hate mr smith. i do. he sucks. yknow whos hilarious? newman. that boy is hilarious. and dunkans hair is growing. its so cool how you can tell when shorthair peoples hair is growing. cause they cut it and then boom! suddenly its longer. i wish that worked with long hair. i have theorized that hair grows slower and slower as it gets longer. thats probably either total crap or already been proven. o well. we had cousins from arizona over. this is a good thing because whenev the out of town relative folks come to town mother goes to corkys and we eat with much rejoicing. lord. hero is a great movie. it makes me think of amelias dad when hes was like "o but the colors!" cause the colors amaze me out the DOOR. and theres practically NO blood. score one million for tarentino. i made up that spelling. t'other night i dreamt i was at p didys party and there was a murderer who was nathans sister and also Little Italy off the NML. how odd. there was an article about amelias dad in the paper today. i havent read it yet, cause mom just told me a few minutes ago and i have yet to get off my rear to read it. justin is having one of those things today where he invites me and lilla to his house to watch whatever movie just so he can have amanda over. how nice. he says thats not why, but i see right through him.

o well. free chips.

Red Vampire Dresses and Babies

this is a relatively short post, but i just remembered what i dreamt last night and want to write it down before i forget for the third time.

someone was coming to the house and we (me and... someone else? i dont know. though theres a chance it was kathryn... or drew...) had to hide, but we couldnt hide, so mother gave me a red dress and some fangs because apparently people who come to your house wont hurt you if youre a vampire. but the fangs didnt really fit right because my fingernails arent long enough (that part made sense in the dream, i swear) but it was okay becuase that part of the dream ended and a new we (me, jack kelly, and *thinks* someone else. i always forget who someone is) were walking around some big brick town looking for the lodging house so we could impress the baby that was following us around, and we walked by a candy shop and some puppets and an old timey truck in a field, and then we got lost and had to hide from the guy in the truck, so we went about the other side of Convenient Brick Building and there was a fluffy dog. THE END!

18 August 2004

There's a Fork in Ma's Leg!

this is the obligatory start of school post. its late, i know. i shouldve posted this like, last week. but i was very very busy. so it comes now. lets go over my classes in brief, shall we? swell.

1st period. homeroom: ms johnson. i love her for the sole reason that she issued lockers and i love my locker. its on the top, its at the end, and i dont have to share it. its like mouses last year. people in this class: morgan.

2nd period. latin. ms lafon. shes a crazy ho, but cool nonetheless. loves latin more than i do, which is scary, cause i love latin. tends to incorporate her dog into the lesson daily. tends to teach us songs about latin grammar. people in this class: moore, annebel.

3rd period. lifetime wellness. coach willis. nice lady. reminds me of queen latifah. it is a class of busywork, but i have amusing company, and its easy. people in this class: mercer, rachel o'c who calls me stevie, peter, chris, justin, amelia, chi. also carter and anna talley, who are decent company.

4th period. clue. ms kitts. GREAT JUMPING JESUS ON A BLOODY POGO STICK. i love this class. i love ms kitts. i love clue. jesus christ. (is my lord and savior.) its amazing. she loves grammar. she loves books. i love grammar and books. wow. its amazement. people in this class: rachel, morgan, mariana.

5th period. chamber choir. ms jackson. she is usually very nice to chamber, but today was agitated and therefore mean. i do like the class. we sound good. this is a huge relief. i worried. people in this class: mercer, moore, lauren huddleston, william henry.

lunch. c. nappy asphault. i very much like my lunch. people in this lunch: dunkan, newman, lena, sean, bruce, morgan, alanna, rachel, elise, brett hanover, sophie, afton, becca, mouse, eileen, laylee, annebel, many many others, obviously. i know im leaving someone out. i always do. whoever you are, i love you.

6th period. smartmath. ms underwood. shes not quite as boring as i thought. overall its a decent class, nothing amazing. sucks to have it right after lunch, cause its like FRIENDS AND JOY! and then MEDIOCRITY! but wotev. i got a 25 out of 25 on the quiz we got back today. and 2 extra credit points for getting all my extra equations right. people in this class: rachel o'c, chi, ali rohrbacher. yes. i can spell rohrbacher. its not really that hard.

7th period. choir with mr williams. god, i wish. i HATE my 7th period. smartscience. uhg. MR. T, YOU ARE THE MOST BORING PERSON EVER. all we do is take notes. all the time. i hate it. i dont even have a lab partner. people in this class: mercer, lilla, mariana, some girl named kelsey whos nice, sarah piazza.

thus goeth my days. word is we hear about novus by saturday. im really anxious. if i dont get in itll be the lowdark of my year, i just know it. i have to shower and study for biology, maybe make some notecards or some such mess. there. ive blogged. arent you happy?

if i make novus i have choir five days a week until after all west, when it becomes only four.
